Literal translations of maltese phrases
car of the line (karozza tal-linja) is the public transport buses
"don't cut your heart" (taqtax qalbek) means don't give up
"is your mind in place" (int mohhok f'postu?) means are you crazy.
This is the maltese language (in brackets), its roots come from english, italian/latin, spanish and french, and arabic. People have a tendency to literally translate maltese phrases because they don't know the english equivalent.
